WELCOME

Thank you for your interest in my campaign for the CAWCD board.

Brian is a second generation native of Arizona and grew up in rural Arizona where water's value was undeniable. This instilled in him a lifelong passion for this vital resource.    For more than 30 years, Brian has dedicated his career to Arizona's water industry, working across both private and municipal water systems.  He is a registered professional environmental engineer and holds the highest operator certifications awarded by the State of Arizona (grade 4) in water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and wastewater collections.  Brian's expertise would bring a wealth of knowledge to the board, with invaluable insight as Arizona  navigates critical issues.

Brian is a decorated veteran who served his country with distinction for over two decades.  Following eight years of active duty, Brian continued his service for another fourteen years in the Army reserves, ultimately retiring as a Lt. Colonel.  His dedication to his nation is further evidenced by his role as senior instructor for the the 10th Battalion (IT) where he instilled leadership principles in reserve officers through the Army's Command and General Staff College curriculum.

Brian's patriotism extends past his teaching and instruction. He was awarded the Bronze Star for service with the 3rd Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment during Desert Storm, a testimony to his bravery and commitment to defending our nation.

Brian's top priorities will be:

1. Fighting for Arizona's Colorado River Allocation.

2. Ensuring the CAP canal operates efficiently and with resiliency

3. Recovers stored water for communities

4. Keeps rates and taxes as low as possible while providing water to Central Arizona communities.

5. Promote and support regional and statewide water solutions

Arizona's allocation of Colorado River water is at risk and Brian is intent on fighting for it.  The twenty plus year drought on the Colorado River basin has created historic low levels in Lake Mead and Lake Powell.  At the end of 2027 the current agreements for drought restrictions expire and the federal government and the basin states are negotiating what will happen in 2027 and beyond.  Brian will use his passion and his 30 plus years of water industry experience to help the CAP and the state of Arizona secure and maintain the water we need to live and work in this beautiful state.

Your support matters!

Please let your friends and neighbors know the expertise and passion Brian will bring to the CAP board and encourage them to vote for Brian.  Tell them they will have to go deep into the ballot to even find the CAWCD board choices, but it is an important choice for Central Arizona.  We need Brian's experience and passion for this State on the CAP Board so that we can establish fundamental processes and policies that will ensure water for future generations in Arizona.
